Explore the Origins of Pyramid Building – Saqqara Tour

Travel back to the dawn of ancient Egyptian architecture at Saqqara, home to the Step Pyramid of King Djoser — the oldest stone structure of its kind in the world. Designed by the genius architect Imhotep during Egypt’s 3rd Dynasty, this iconic monument marks the very beginning of pyramid construction in Egypt.

Continue to the Pyramid of King Teti, where you’ll have the rare opportunity to step inside and explore the inner burial chamber. Admire the beautifully preserved Pyramid Texts, the oldest known religious inscriptions carved in mesmerizing hieroglyphics.

Next, we’ll visit the Tombs of the Nobles, where colorful scenes on the walls offer vivid glimpses into daily life more than 4,000 years ago — from farming and fishing to feasting and rituals.

Optional: we can also make a stop at one of Saqqara’s famous handmade carpet schools, where local artisans keep this centuries-old craft alive.

Memphis – Egypt’s First Capital

Step into the cradle of ancient Egyptian civilization at Memphis, the legendary first capital of a united Egypt, founded over 5,000 years ago by King Menes. Once a thriving center of power, culture, and religion, today it’s an open-air museum filled with timeless treasures.

Marvel at the colossal statue of Ramses II, carved from a single block of limestone, and admire the elegant Alabaster Sphinx, a masterpiece of ancient sculpture. Though little remains of the ancient city’s vast temples, what survives tells the story of a glorious past that laid the foundation for the Pharaohs’ golden age.

Discover Egypt’s Early Pyramid Evolution – Dahshur Tour

Our journey continues to Dahshur, a hidden gem south of Cairo that offers a deeper look into the evolution of pyramid design. Start with the remarkable Bent Pyramid, built under King Sneferu. Its unique shape marks a turning point in architectural history — where engineers first experimented with smooth-sided structures.

We’ll also visit the Red Pyramid, the first successful attempt at a true smooth-sided pyramid and the third-largest pyramid in Egypt. You’ll have the chance to enter of of the Bent and Red Pyramids, exploring their inner chambers and steep passages — a rare and thrilling experience.

From here, we’ll also see the mysterious Black Pyramid, built of mudbrick, standing as a stark contrast to the others and adding to the story of Egypt’s architectural innovation.
